06 AUGUST TRANSFIGURATION OF THE LORD. Prayer

And he was transfigured before them; his face shone like the sun and his clothes became as white as the light (Mt 17,2).
Jesus: to see you, to speak to you! To remain thus, to contemplate you, sunk in the immensity of your beauty, without ever, never interrupting this contemplation! O Jesus, maybe I saw you! Maybe I saw you to be wounded with love for you!
And here is a voice that said: This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him (Mt 17, 5).
Our Lord, we are here, willing to listen to what you want to tell us. Tell us about; we pay attention to your voice. Arrange for your word, falling into our soul, to inflame our will so that it fervently launches to obey you.
Vultum tuum, Domine, requiram (Ps 26, 8), your face, Lord, I seek. It fills me with hope to close my eyes and think that the time will come, when God wills, when I can see him, not as in a mirror, in a confused way ... but face to face (1 Cor 13:12). Yes, my soul is thirsty for God, for the living God: when will I come and see the face of God? (Ps 41: 3).
