OCTOBER 10 SAN DANIELE COMBONI. Prayer to be recited today

O Father,
San Daniele Comboni lived an admirable one
and boundless trust in You: donate to us too
through his intercession a simple and great faith,
who abandons himself confidently
every day at your will.

O Father,
the spirit of sacrifice and heroic love for the Cross
burned in the heart of San Daniele Comboni:
also gives us a generous heart like yours,
who knows how to give himself in sacrifice without getting tired.

O Father,
San Daniele Comboni had immense love
for the souls of the poorest and most abandoned:
let us have no peace, like him,
if any brother
he still hasn't known you; makes us missionaries
of the Gospel so that many can meet you.

O Father,
San Daniele Comboni has spent his whole life
for the spreading of your kingdom among the peoples of Africa,
he loved Africa and Africans intensely:
through his intercession he gives the bread of the Gospel
to the African peoples and support the missionaries in those lands.
