In Nagasaki in Japan, blessed Martino Lumbreras Peralta and Melchiorre Sánchez Pérez, priests of the Order of St. Augustine and martyrs, who as soon as they entered this city were arrested and thrown into a dark cell and, finally, sent to the stake. (Roman martyrology)

PRAYER

Infuse in us, O Lord, the wisdom of the cross,

who illuminated the Blessed Martyrs Martin and Melchiorre,

who shed blood for faith,

because, by fully adhering to Christ,

let us collaborate in the Church in the redemption of the world.
