March 14 Saturday dedicated to the generous Mother Madonna

Invocation. - Mary, Mother of mercy, pray for us!

On the night of Gethsemane Jesus contemplated the pains that awaited him during the Passion and he also saw all the iniquities of the world. How many sins to mend! His Heart remained oppressed and sweated Blood, exclaiming in pain: My soul is sad to the death! -

The outrages that Divine Goodness receives every day, indeed every hour, are innumerable; Divine Justice demands reparation.

As Veronica, who was a pearl on the way to Calvary, wiped Jesus' face and was immediately rewarded with a prodigy, so pious souls could console Jesus and Our Lady by repairing for himself and for others, offering himself as victims repair.

Reparation is not a privilege of a few souls, but all the baptized have a duty, because no child should remain indifferent when the honor of the Father is outraged.

Jesus said to a soul, Sister Mary of the Trinity: It is love that repairs, since what offends God in sin is the lack of love. However, when suffering is combined with love, a real reparation is given to God. I desire victim souls everywhere: in the century and in the cloister, in all offices, in all situations, in fields and workshops, in schools and shops, in families, in commerce and the arts, among virgin people and among married ... Yes, I ask for an army of victims everywhere, because everywhere evil is mixed with good. -

The Madonna, inspirer of noble sentiments, arouses in the hearts of many of her devotees the desire to offer herself generously to the life of reparation. She felt the great weight of pain on Calvary and supported it with heroic strength. This fortress, asked of the Virgin during suffering, will be granted to the repairing souls. Jesus needs those who repair and not a few times choose directly by making themselves seen and heard by certain souls, who are usually called privileged or extraordinary victims.

To make ourselves very dear to the Blessed Virgin, let us consecrate ourselves to Jesus through her, dedicating our life to ordinary, simple, but generous reparation.

There is actual reparation and it consists in offering God some good work, when we realize that a sin is committed. There is a blasphemy, a scandal is known, there is something in the family that brings hatred ... acts of reparation are made, according to what God himself inspires.

The habitual reparation, which is the most excellent, consists in solemnly making, if possible with the advice of the Confessor and after a triduum or a novena of preparation, the offer of all life to God through the hands of the Most Holy Mary, protesting that she wishes to accept with humble submission the crosses that Jesus will have the goodness to send, thereby intending to repair Divine Justice and obtain the conversion of many sinners.

Our Lady prefers these ardent souls, encourages them to ever greater acts of generosity, instills a particular force in the trials of life and obtains from Jesus a deep, intimate and dense peace, to make them happy even among the thorns. May this month many hearts consecrate themselves to God as repairing hosts!

Example
A good young woman, whose joy consisted in loving Jesus and Our Lady, understood that her life was precious and that it was not convenient to employ it like many other peers. Mourning the offenses that go to God, afflicted by the ruin of so many sinful souls, she felt the heart of a magnanimous resolution light up. Prostrate at the foot of the Tabernacle, she prayed: Lord, how many sinners are without your light! If you accept, I give you the light of my eyes; I am willing to remain blind, as long as you remain sheltered from so many offenses and convert many sinners! -

Jesus and the Virgin liked the heroic offering. It wasn't long before the girl felt a drop in sight until she was completely blind. So he spent his whole life, for more than forty years.

When her parents, unaware of her daughter's offer, offered to go to Lourdes to implore the miracle from Our Lady, the good young lady smiled ... and said no more. How many sinners will have saved this soul!

But Jesus and his Mother did not allow themselves to be overcome in generosity. They filled that heart with so much spiritual joy that it made the exile of this land sweet. It pleased to see her with her usual smile.

If you cannot imitate this woman's heroism, at least imitate yourself by offering God many small acts of reparation.
