18 Christians killed by Fulani shepherds, a threat to our brothers

Five men, suspected of being militants of the Fulani shepherds, Islamic extremists, killed a Christian doctor last June 17 in Nigeria.

"His killers came to the hospital, asked specifically for him, did not harm anyone, took him away and killed him without asking for ransom," he told Morning Star News Baridueh Badon, friend of the victim.

“Everyone loved him, he always smiled and he was one of the hardest working people I've ever met,” Badon continued.

“His hospital was booming because it was saving lives. If you had a problem, Emeka was there to help you, ”he added.

Another 17 Christians were killed this month in the state of Plateau, the Morning Star News reported.

At least 14 were said to have been killed in a June 13 attack in Jos South County, perpetrated by men suspected of being Fulani militant pastoralists. Seven others were injured and are hospitalized.

On 12 June, Fulani militants also killed two Christians in the county of Bassa and wounded two others.

On the same day, in the Dong community in Jos North County, a Christian farmer known as "Bulus”Was killed by the Islamic terrorists themselves.

"The Christians of Dong village are in danger," the local resident told Morning Star News Beatrice Audu. Bulus strove to provide a dignified life for his family.

The Fulani militia is the fourth deadliest terrorist group in the world and has overtaken Boko Haram as the greatest threat to Nigerian Christians, demonstrating "a clear intention to attack Christians and powerful symbols of Christian identity".

Mike Popeo, senior advisor for global affairs at the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), said that "at least 1.500 Christians have already been killed in Nigeria in the year 2021".
