SEPTEMBER 18 SAN GIUSEPPE DA COPERTINO. Prayer to be recited to the Saint

O patron saint, you show yourself so liberal to your devotees that you give them everything they ask of you, turn your gaze on me that in the hardships in which I find myself I invoke you to my aid.

For what wonderful love that carried you to God and to the sweet Heart of Jesus, for that ardent commitment with which you venerated the Virgin Mary, I pray and beg you to help me in the next school exam.

See how for a long time I have applied myself with all diligence to the study, nor have I refused any effort, nor spared commitment or diligence; but since I do not trust in myself, but in you alone, I resort to your help, which I dare to hope with a sure heart.

Remember that at one time you too, bound by such a danger, came out with happy success for the singular help of the Virgin Mary.
You, therefore, should be propitious in making me be asked about those points in which I am most prepared; and give me insight and intelligence readiness, preventing fear from invading my soul and obscuring my mind.
