For that amiable zeal that led you to face all the dangers, impetrate us, glorious martyr St. Sebastian, an equal commitment and an equal zeal to lead a truly evangelical life, so that we will strive with every effort to live the holy Christian virtues.

For those sensational prodigies that occurred in your life, we pray you, o glorious martyr Saint Sebastian, to be always animated by that faith and charity that works the greatest prodigies and to be thus favored by divine assistance in all our needs.

For that heroism with which you endured the pain of the arrows, still implores us all, o glorious martyr Saint Sebastian, to always joyfully support illnesses, persecutions, and all the adversities of this life to participate one day in your glory in Heaven, after taking part in your sufferings on earth.

O glorious Saint Sebastian, to whose special protection heaven has entrusted our country, make us feel the sweet affections of your powerful intercession with God. We entrust ourselves entirely in your hands: you know our needs; you take care that everything contributes to ensuring material and spiritual health; and after being your faithful imitators on earth, we can one day share in your glory in heaven.
