PRAYER TO SANT'ANGELA MERICI

O Angela Santa, (the Brescia community with due affection recognizes you and venerates her patron with the Holy Martyrs Faustino and Giovita. For this) we confidently appeal to you. First of all with you we praise the Father who separated you from the darkness of this miserable world and made you light to indicate the way of faith, holiness and eternal life. With you we praise the Son, Jesus Christ, who chose you to be his true and intact bride, adorning you with the singular gift of virginity for the Kingdom. With you we praise the Holy Spirit who molded your heart according to the sentiments of Christ, inspired you to inspire in the Church the newness of virginal consecration in the world and to promote projects and proposals of harmony and peace in society. And now we entrust our Church to you: pastors, consecrated persons and lay people, united in faith and love, be a sacrament of Christ for those who live and work here, suffer and hope. With you we fear for the brothers, who as blind people do not know or do not care to know the love of Christ Crucified and for whom you were willing to shed your blood. To you who have been initiated into the Christian life in the family, we entrust our families, often tried by uncertainties, insufficiencies and sufferings. In the communion of love, parents welcome their children as a gift from God, educate them at the school of the Gospel, so that, recognizing the voice of the Spinto according to their vocation, they collaborate effectively in building the Kingdom. To you who with virginal love have witnessed the renewing power of the Gospel to men and women of all conditions, we entrust our aspirations of justice and peace together with our commitment to share for all the initiatives promoted in our communities in favor of the education of the youth and solidarity towards the weakest, lonely and marginalized
Protect the young women with a maternal heart so that, educated to serene and chaste love, following your example they promote with dignified and caring love the dignity of women both in marriage and in consecrated life, and with the light of faith and the strength of hope they foster a respectful and supportive coexistence. Saint Angela pray for us and protect us! Amen

St. Angela. intercede for all of us and for our families a living charity, teach us to let ourselves be filled with the love of God and to give it to all the brothers. Amen
Saint Angela, in your weakness the power of God was manifested: you can be sure that we will be able to do well the works we started if we never lost faith and hope. Amen
Saint Angela, through your availability to the action of the Holy Spirit, you contributed to the advent of the Kingdom of God in the world and to the reform of the Church. May the Holy Spirit find in each of us this same willingness to work with generosity where the Lord will send him to sing his glory and to help his brothers. Amen
Saint Angela, you taught us that every grace we ask from God will be granted to us if we are united in heart. Together with you we ask him to increase the union between us and we thank him because, through your intercession, he will grant us. Amen
Glorious Sant'Angela Merici, blessed name that resounds in every part of the world, we praise the Father and the Spirit for your holiness which in Christ illuminates our life and is joy for the whole Church. Amen.
