3 ways to use your rosary

You probably have a rosary hanging somewhere in your house. Maybe you received it as a Confirmation gift or chose one when the sweet old lady handed them out outside the church, but you don't really know what to do with it.

If you remember the recitation of the rosary as a child as something long and boring, we encourage you to give it a second chance.

We understand that it takes some time to sit down and say the rosary. For this, we offer three other ways to use your rosary to pray that take less time. Try to insert one of these ways into your prayer time today.

1. Crown of Divine Mercy
Initial prayer: You expired, Jesus, but the source of life has flowed for souls, and the ocean of mercy has opened up for the whole world. O Source of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and pour out on us. O Blood and Water, which flowed from the Heart of Jesus as a source of Mercy for us, I trust in you!

Begin the crown with the Our Father, the Hail Mary and the Apostles' Creed. Then, on the grain that precedes each ten, pray: “Oh! what great graces I will grant to the souls who will recite this chaplet. Write these words, My daughter, speak to the world of My Mercy. May all humanity know My unfathomable Mercy. Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your beloved Son and Our Lord Jesus Christ, for our sins and the whole world "- Diary of Santa Faustina, 848.

On the ten grains of the Ave Maria of every decade, say: For His painful Passion, have mercy on us and the whole world.

Concluding prayer: Holy God, Almighty God, Immortal God, have mercy on us and the whole world (repeat three times)

Optional concluding prayer: Eternal God, whose mercy is infinite and whose treasure of compassion is inexhaustible, look at us with benevolence and increase your mercy in us, because in difficult moments we can not despair and not fall, but submit with great confidence to yours holy will, which is Love and Mercy.

2. Crown of the Adorable Sacrament
Opening prayer: Start with a Our Father, an Hail Mary and a Glory for the intentions of the Holy Father.

Recite this prayer on the grains dedicated to the Our Father: Lord Jesus, I offer you my suffering for the many sacrileges committed against you and the indifference that is shown to you in the Blessed Sacrament of the altar. On the grains dedicated to the Hail Mary pray: Jesus, I adore you in the Blessed Sacrament.

Concluding prayer: Holy Mother Mary, please present this prayer to your Son, Jesus, and bring consolation to His Sacred Heart. Thank him for me for his divine presence in the Blessed Sacrament. He treated us with mercy and love by staying with us. May my life be my prayer of thanksgiving to him. Jesus, I trust in you. Amen.

3. Crown of Saint Gertrude
Initial prayer: Start with the Sign of the Cross and recite the Creed of the Apostles, followed by the Our Father, three Hail Marys and the Glory.

The Lord told Saint Gertrude that every time the prayers of this crown are recited, 1.000 souls are released from Purgatory.

Starting on the Medal and then on the 4 grains between each ten, recite the Our Father.

On each of the grains dedicated to the Hail Mary, recite this prayer: Eternal Father, I offer you the Precious Blood of Your Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses celebrated today all over the world, for all the holy souls in Purgatory, for sinners in the universal Church, for those of my home and my family. Amen.

At the end of each block, recite this prayer: Most Holy Heart of Jesus, open the heart and mind of sinners to the truth and light of God the Father. Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for the conversion of sinners and the world. Also recite the Gloria.

There are many splendid promises for those who pray these crowns. It is time to take back your rosary, find a quiet place and start praying in a way that will allow you to deepen your faith.
