4 things the Bible says to worry about

We are concerned about grades at school, job interviews, the approximation of deadlines and the reduction of budgets. We worry about bills and expenses, rising gas prices, insurance costs and endless taxes. We are obsessed with first impressions, political correctness, identity theft and contagious infections.

Over the course of a lifetime, worry can add up to hours and hours of precious time that we will never go back. Most of us prefer to spend time enjoying life more and worrying less. If you're still not convinced about giving up your worries, here are four solid biblical reasons not to worry.

Anecdote for concern
Worry is a useless thing

It is like a rocking chair

It will keep you busy

But it won't get you anywhere.

4 things the Bible says to worry about

  1. Concern accomplishes absolutely nothing.
Most of us don't have time to throw away these days. Worry is a waste of precious time. Someone defined the concern as "a small trickle of fear that winds through the mind until it cuts through a channel in which all other thoughts are emptied."

Worrying won't help you solve a problem or work out a possible solution, so why waste time and energy on it?

Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And why worry about your clothes? Watch the lilies of the field and how they grow. They do not work or make their clothes, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed magnificently like them. (Matthew 6: 27-29, NLT)

  1. Concern is not good for you.
Concern is destructive to us in many ways. It drains us of energy and reduces our strength. Concern makes us lose the current joys of life and the blessings of God's disposition. It becomes a mental burden that can even make us physically ill. A wise person said, "Ulcers are not caused by what you eat, but by what you eat."

Concern weighs a person down; an encouraging word makes a person happy. (Proverbs 12:25, NLT)

  1. Concern is the opposite of trust in God.
The energy we spend worryingly can be used much better in prayer. Christian life unhindered by worry is one of our greatest freedoms. It also sets a good example for non-believers.

Live one day at a time and handle every concern when it comes - through prayer. Most of our worries never occur, and those that do can only be handled at the moment and by the grace of God.

Here is a small formula to remember: Concern replaced with prayer is equal trust.

And if God cares so wonderfully about the wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will surely take care of you. Why do you have so little confidence? (Matthew 6:30, NLT)
Don't worry about anything; instead, pray for everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. So you will experience the peace of God, which surpasses anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds while you live in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4: 6-7, NLT)

  1. Worry puts your attention in the wrong direction.
When we keep our eyes focused on God, we remember his love for us and we realize that we really have nothing to fear. God has a wonderful plan for our lives and part of that plan includes taking care of us. Even in difficult times, when it seems that God does not care, we can trust in the Lord and focus on his Kingdom.

Seek the Lord and his righteousness and everything we need will be added to us (Matthew 6:33). God will take care of us.

That's why I tell you not to worry about everyday life, if you have enough food and drinks or enough clothes to wear. Is life no more than food and your body more than clothing? (Matthew 6:25, NLT)
So don't worry about these things, saying, “What are we going to eat? What will we drink? What will we wear? These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else and live righteously and it will give you everything you need. So don't worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will bring your worries. Today's problems are enough for today. (Matthew 6: 31-34, NLT)
Give all your worries and worries to God because he takes care of you. (1 Peter 5: 7, NLT)
It is difficult to imagine that Jesus is worrying. A wise person once said, “There is no reason to worry about what you have control over, because if you have control over it, there is no reason to worry. There is no reason to worry about what you don't have control over because if you don't have control over it, there is no reason to worry. "So it covers everything, doesn't it?
