4 things Satan wants from your life

Here are four things Satan wants for your life.

1 - Avoid the company

The apostle Peter gives us a warning about the Devil when he writes: “Be sober; be careful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around you like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour "(1 Pt 5,8). What do lions do when hunting for prey? They look for the latecomer, or the one separated from the fold. Look for the one who is sick and has left the fold. It is a dangerous place to be. There is no "lonely" Christian anywhere in the New Testament. We need the fellowship of saints, so Satan wants us to separate from the fold so that we will be more vulnerable.

2 - Famine of the Word

When we fail to enter the Word daily, we are losing a source of God's power (Rom 1,16; 1 Cor 1,18), and this means that our day will be lived without the strength to abide in Christ and his Word. (John 15: 1-6). We cannot do anything outside of Christ (John 15: 5), and Christ is found in Scripture, so avoiding the Word of God is like avoiding the God of the Word.

3 - No prayer

Why wouldn't we want to pray to God, the most important Person in the universe? We need to communicate with Him and ask Him to help us avoid temptation, to give us our daily bread, both physical and spiritual (in the Bible), and to help us glorify Him in our life. If we don't pray to God, we can lose a source of divine wisdom (James 1: 5), so prayer is our anchor of salvation for heaven and for the Father. Satan wants to cut this line of communication.

4 - Fear and shame

We have all struggled with fear and shame and after being saved, we fall into sin again and again. We felt the fear of God's judgment and then the shame for what we did. Like a cycle we cannot break. But, through the reading of the Word, we discover that God forgives all our sins and cleanses us from all injustice (1 John 1: 9).
