Sister Maria of the Purification, taking seriously the words of the little girl, who had entered the institution a month earlier, hurried to call him. The confessor, seeing the little girl, decided to hear her confession but did not want to give her theEucharist.

In the institute everyone knew the severe conditions in which the child was pouring, but no one would have foreseen a death so close. The priest, at the end of her confession made her to go away, telling her that he would give her the Eucharist the next day. The little girl in a weak voice told him that the the next day she would be dead, but the priest left the room pretending not to have heard.

The little girl was left alone in the silent room, disappointed at not having received the one thing she really wanted, the gesture that would make her feel more close to God.
