January 6 Epiphany of Our Lord Jesus: devotion and prayers

PRAYERS FOR THE EPIPHANY

You therefore, O Lord, Father of lights, who sent your only son, light born of light, to illuminate the darkness of mortals, grant us to reach the eternal light by the way of light, so that, in the light of the living , we are welcome in front of you, who live and reign for ever and ever. Amen

O living and true God, who revealed the incarnation of your Word with the appearance of a star and led the Magi to worship him and to bring him generous gifts, do not let the star of justice set in the sky of our souls, and the treasure to offer you consists in the witness of life. Amen.

The splendor of your glory, O God, illuminate the hearts because, walking in the night of the world, we can finally reach your home of light. Amen.

Give us, Father, the living experience of the Lord Jesus who revealed himself to the silent meditation of the Magi and the adoration of all peoples; and cause all men to find truth and salvation in the illuminating encounter with him, our Lord and our God. Amen.

May the mystery of the Savior of the world, revealed to the Magi under the guidance of the star, also manifest to us, O almighty God, and grow ever more in our spirit. Amen.
