Padre Pio, Dr. Scarparo's illness and his miraculous recovery

Doctor Antonio scarparo he was a man who carried out his work in Salizzola, province of Verona. In 1960 he began to show symptoms of a disorder in the groin area. The following December, he decides to undergo a thorough clinical examination. The biopsy revealed that he was suffering from testicular seminoma.

Dr. Scarparo's miraculous healing

Doctor Antonio and his brother Giovanni go to Padre Pio again, bringing the radiographs to have them blessed. On that occasion Antonio desperately begs him to obtain the grace to get well because he has three daughters. Padre Pio replied that he was sorry, without saying another word.

Antonio returned home, but Giovanni remained close to Padre Pio and one day reminded him that the doctors said his brother only had three months to live. Padre Pio reassured him that it is what they said and that is what he needed it was faith.

Meanwhile, in Padua, while Dr. Scarparo, now dying, was undergoing other treatments radiographs, Professor Bonomini showed an astonished expression. Any trace of evil was disappeared. Giovanni Scarparo therefore went to San Giovanni Rotondo to express his thanks Padre Pio, who replied to him to thank the Sir.
