Sister Cecilia died with this smile, her story

The prospect of death arouses feelings of fear and distress, as well as being treated as if it were taboo. While most prefer not to talk about it, Sister Cecilia, of the Monastery of the Discalced Carmelites of Santa Fein Argentina, he left an example of faith before leaving for the arms of the Father.

The 43-year-old nun was photographed with a smile on her face a few days before her death. In 2015 Cecilia discovered a tongue cancer which had metastasized to the lung. Despite the pain and suffering, Sister Cecilia never stopped smiling.

The nun died five years ago but the lightness with which she left this world still inspires many people. The photos of the smiling nun on her deathbed were published on the Facebook page of the Discalced Carmelite General Curia.

"Our dear little sister Cecilia fell asleep sweetly in the Lord, after a painful illness, she always lived with joy and abandonment to her Divine Spouse (...) We believe she flew straight to heaven, but even so, we ask you not to offer your prayers for her, and she, from heaven, will pay you ”,.

“I was thinking about how I wanted my funeral to be. First of all, with a strong moment of prayer. And then a big party for everyone. Do not forget to pray and also to celebrate ”, said the nun in her last message. She died on June 22, 2016.
