A bishop speaks of Medjugorje: "I promise to become an apostle of this place"

José Antúnez de Mayolo, Salesian Bishop of the Archdiocese of Ayacucho (Peru), went on a private visit to Medjugorje.

“This is a wonderful sanctuary, where I have found a lot of faith, faithful who live their faith, who go to confession. I confessed to some Spanish pilgrims. I attended the Eucharistic celebrations and I really liked everything. This is a truly beautiful place. It is right that Medjugorje is called a place of prayer for the whole world and the "confessional of the world". I have been to Lourdes, but they are two very different realities, which cannot be compared. In Lourdes the events are over, while everything is still developing here. Here faith can be found more strongly than in Lourdes.

Medjugorje is still little known in my country, but I promise to become an apostle of Medjugorje in my country.
