A splendid lady appeared to Sister Elisabetta and the miracle of the Madonna of Divine Crying occurred

The appearance of Madonna of the Divine Lament Sister Elisabetta, which took place in Cernusco, never received the official approval of the Church. However, Cardinal Schuster commented that Our Lady would find her way on her own. Cardinal Martini also indirectly authorized the naming of a parish church in Cernusco in honor of the Madonna del Divin Pianto.

The apparition took place at 22.30 pm, when the nuns on duty in the infirmary heard Sister Elisabetta speak. At first, they thought it was her talking in your sleep, but the nun was completely awake and in front of her there was a splendid lady who came to console her. Our Lady told the clairvoyant to pray, trust and hope and promised to return on 22nd or 23rd of the following month.

But the visionary was blind, so the sisters were surprised to hear the story. However, on the following February 3, Sister Elisabetta was found in Tears because the Madonna had not shown up as promised. She thought she had done something wrong. On February 22, however, the Madonna returned and she was recognized as such by the nun.

The Madonna of the Divine Cry he wore a light blue cloak and held Baby Jesus close to her heart. They flowed on Jesus' face big tears. The Virgin explained that the Child was crying because he was not enough loved and desired.

Sister Elisabetta had asked the Madonna to take her with him to Heaven, but the Virgin replied that she had to stay there to bear witness to her message. Sister Elizabeth asked for a sign from her, and Our Lady replied before disappearing that she would restore her health. And so she did, the nun recovered completely.

News of the miracle spread quickly and the nun was transferred to Mother House in via Quadronno in Milan to avoid commotion. She never talked about hers miracle. After his death, on 15 April 1984, his body was brought back to Cernusco. The apparition room was transformed into a chapel, with a statue of the Madonna that corresponds to the nun's vision. On the floor, protected by glass, the point where the Virgin took place is still marked put down his feet.

Today, on the wall of the chapel, there is the silhouette of a tree with silver hearts, symbols of the graces received.
