Other religions: how to do a quick Reiki treatment

Although it is preferable to conduct a full Reiki session, circumstances may arise that will prevent Reiki practitioners from being able to offer someone full treatment. In any case, a shorter session is better than nothing.

Here are the basic hand positions that practitioners can use to perform a shortened Reiki session. Instead of lying on a bed, sofa or massage table, the client sits on a chair. The same instructions apply if you need to give Reiki to someone confined to a wheelchair.

Basic instructions for performing a quick session
Make the customer sit comfortably in a straight-backed chair or wheelchair. Ask your client to take some deep, relaxing breaths. Take some deep cleansing breaths yourself. Proceed with the treatment starting from the shoulder position. These hand positions are intended for use with the palms of the hands touching the client's body. However, you can also apply a contactless Reiki application by moving your hands a couple of inches away from your body by following these same steps.

Shoulder position - Standing behind the client, put each of your hands over your shoulders. (2-5 minutes)
Upper Head Position - Place your palms on the top of your head, your hands flat, your thumbs touching. (2-5 minutes)
Medullary / forehead position - Move to the client's side, put one hand on the medulla (the area between the back of the head and the top of the spine) and the other on the forehead. (2-5 minutes)
Vertebra / Throat Position - Place one hand on the protruding seventh cervical vertebra and the other in the throat pit. (2-5 minutes)

Posterior / Position of the sternum - Place one hand on the sternum and the other on the back at the same height. (2-5 minutes)
Back / Solar Plexus Position - Place one hand on the solar plexus (stomach) and the other at the same height on the back. (2-5 minutes)
Lower Back / Back Stomach - Place one hand on the lower stomach and the other on the lower back at the same height. (2-5 minutes)
Auric Sweep: ends with an aura that sweeps away to free the auric field from the client's body. (1 minute)
Useful tips:
If the customer requests the support of the back of the chair at any time during the session, simply place your hand on the back of the chair instead of directly on the body. Reiki energy will automatically pass through the chair to the person. This is particularly useful for knowing if you are working with a client who is wheelchair bound.
Even if there is not enough time to give a complete treatment, do your best not to give the impression that you are speeding up a treatment. Use the short time available to you in a peaceful state of relaxation.
Reiki hand positions are intended as guidelines, feel free to change the sequence or alter positions intuitively or in any way you feel appropriate.
Make sure you are comfortable (the facilitator) even if it means that you are sitting in a chair next to the client. It can be quite tedious to do a chair treatment from a standing position ... bending over, etc.>
Recommend the client to organize a full follow-up treatment as soon as possible.
First aid Reiki
Reiki has also proven to be excellent as an additional means of providing first aid in case of accidents and shocks. Here you should immediately place one hand on the solar plexus and the other on the kidneys (suprarenal glands). After that, move the second hand to the outer edge of the shoulders.
