Act of entrustment to the Crucifix to ask for a grace

Crucified Lord Jesus, who called us to remember your passion, death and resurrection, we want to raise our praise, blessing and thanksgiving to God, your Father and our Father.

We recognize that the Father loved the world so much that he sent you, his beloved Son, not because you judge and condemn, but because man by accepting you with faith had life in your name.

You have called us to live and testify among our brothers this word of joy, novelty and salvation and we want to say with you our full adhesion to the Father's will.

Moved by your infinite love, we want to put ourselves at the service of this plan of salvation in the spirit and charisma of St. Paul of the Cross.

Therefore we want to follow You who, as rich you were, stripped yourself of yourself, assuming the condition of a servant.

And to the men, our brothers, committed to building the earthly city, we offer “the grateful memory of your Passion: the greatest and most wonderful work of Divine Love; the source from which all Good derives ”. Accept, crucified Lord Jesus, our availability and our commitment to this gift of your love, while we are aware of having to walk in the darkness of faith.

Arrange for us to be authentic and credible witnesses to the Passionist vocation and mission.

Send the Holy Spirit to help our weakness and bring to completion the work you have entrusted to us.

This we ask and present to you through the intercession of Our Lady of Sorrows, of St. Paul of the Cross and of all our patron saints, who proclaim you eternally Holy and Lord. You who live and reign forever and ever. Amen.
