Because the Madonna appears more often than Jesus

Today we want to answer a question that we have all asked ourselves at least once in our lives. Why the Madonna appears much more often than Jesus. When we read or hear about Mary's apparitions around the world, this question always comes to mind and a believer wanted to clarify this question by asking a theologian for an explanation.

María Rosal (Fernán‐Núñez, Córdoba, 1961) is a complete writer. She has published children's theatre, has received the Andalusian Critics' Award (2004), the Children's Poetry Award (2007) and the José Hierro National Poetry Award for Carmín rojo sangre (2015). The Christian faith is a doctrine full of mysteries and paradoxes, and one of the most enigmatic it's the reason why Jesus doesn't appear as often as Our Lady does. The Madonna appears frequently in Marian apparitions and in religious icons, while Jesus is more often portrayed in scenes of his own Passion, Resurrection or Last Judgment.

The theologian's response

The theologian, however, wanted to express his thoughts on the matter, pointing out that sometimes it is not possible to give an opinion human response to a divine choice. The most logical answer might be that the Madonna, since she was taken up into heaven, has the ability to make appearances throughout history and even today.

The theologian explains that the apparitions of the Madonna or gods Saints they must always lead us towards Christ. In theology, these apparitions are called participatory mediations, for He alone is the mediator and redeemer. Any type of cult of Mary or other figures that does not lead to Gospel it would be idolatrous.

In essence, everything that happens leads us to Christ and Mary appare also for this reason, to help us get closer to Jesus. The theologian also warns to be careful not to fall into the attitude superstitious. He underlines that the Church is very cautious in judging these phenomena, because the temptation of paganism it is always lurking and no one can consider themselves immune from sin.

La church she helps us understand when the apparitions are authentic, since she is always very cautious in granting hers official recognition. In any case, Mary takes us by the hand towards Jesus.
