Bible: How do we see the goodness of God?

Introduction . Before considering the evidence of God's goodness, let's establish the fact of his goodness. "Behold then the goodness ... of God ..." (Rom 11:22). Having established God's goodness, let us now proceed to note some expressions of his goodness.

God gave man the Bible. Paul wrote: "All scriptures are given by the inspiration of God ..." (2 Tim. 3:16). The Greek work translated inspiration is theopneustos. The word is made up of two parts: theos, which means God; and pneo, which means to breathe. So, the scriptures are given of God, literally, God breathed. The scriptures are "profitable for doctrine, for reproach, for correction, for education in righteousness." When used correctly, they result in "the perfect man of God, fully equipped for all good works" (2 Tim. 3:16, 17). The Bible constitutes the belief or belief of the Christian. (Jude 3).

God had prepared heaven for the faithful. Heaven was prepared "from the foundations of the world" (Matthew 25: 31-40). Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people (Matt. 25: 31-40). Furthermore, heaven is a place of indescribable happiness (Revelation 21:22).

God gave his own Son. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son ..." (John 3:16). John later wrote: "Here is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation of our sins" (1 John 4:10). We have access to life in the Son (1 John 5:11).

Conclusion. Indeed we see God's goodness in many of his gifts and expressions for man. Are you appropriating the goodness of God?
