How many portraits of Jesus, some beautiful, some severe and regal, some melancholy and improbable, there is something for everyone but you would admire a portrait or a photo of your absent love? I take a picture, for this in front of my bed, (above me I do) I contemplate and adore Jesus in the Holy Shroud. That image is the visual gospel, that image is the miracle and the permanent imprint left by God to those who have the heart and the grace to understand it. I am not interested in all the analyzes of all the scholars in the world, my face and that body cry. AND HE. I was able to admire a wooden sculpture of an artist who turns to Mattei who made it respecting the measurements of that body, what a magnificent body, of a mighty royalty, confirming that Jesus really is the most beautiful of the children of man. and the face of the Shroud? there are those who see it with their eyes closed and those who with their eyes open, I see it with their eyes open and I see all its intensity, strength and sweetness.I want to tell you about the experience of Brother Claudio, a consecrated man who he made his life a mission to make the Shroud known and loved. When he was a boy he went to Turin to see the Shroud, he went there with many doubts but when he finally finished the line he found himself in front of that image he had an experience of God so strong that he almost lost consciousness, looking at that face he saw as in an electrocution all the faces of all men and women on earth. It was such a shocking experience that he came out of that shocked place. Three years of retreat at home took him to understand what he had to do with that experience and his life. Afterwards he consecrated himself and for years has been running with a perfect copy of the Holy Shroud and goes to parishes and schools to witness that extraordinary and miraculous photograph of God. He has also published a book where he has collected and photographed all the comments written by the children. There are some wonderful ones, considering also that they are comments from elementary school children, I only report one, the one that made me smile the most and that was written by a third grade child: "I don't know why I am so young such a great thing has been shown. "
