The charisms of Natuzza Evolo

It is the guardian angel who accompanies Natuzza in what her children call "Mother's travels" and which she compares to a film seen on television, because she finds herself catapulted into the scene, aware that her physical body is in Paravati but also that spiritually it is in another environment, even several kilometers away.

Professor Valerio Marinelli, who wrote five volumes on Natuzza's charisms, until 1996 personally collected and published the testimonies of over three hundred people who have seen her in bilocation. And if a single scholar has reached that number, it is reasonable to believe that some thousands of people in these seventy years have had the opportunity to get to know Natuzza mysteriously translated into their home. The apparitions of Jesus and the Madonna, the continuous vision of his guardian angel, the conversations with the souls of the dead and the bilocation of Natuzza are certainly prodigious events, which however belong to his subjectivity. It is possible to doubt it, even if it is really difficult not to believe in front of the infinite sweetness and absolute humility of this woman.

But this great mystical personality also presents phenomena that thousands of people have been able to verify with their own eyes and which are more concrete and tangible than his private visions. The most extraordinary, and perhaps unique in the world, is emography, writing with the blood oozed from her, which composes, on various objects, complete sentences of a religious nature or drawings of liturgical symbols.

«In 1975 I was head of the surgical department of the Catanzaro hospital and I had the opportunity to examine Natuzza's stigmata» says Professor Raffaele Basso. "In the presence of me and my wife, Natuzza applied a handkerchief owned by my wife on her wrist. A few minutes later he detached it from the wound and handed it to us. On the handkerchief had formed the drawing of a host with the IHS written inside, the figure of the Madonna with the rosary, the word "prayer", the drawing of a crown of thorns and a heart pierced by a cross. This amazing phenomenon began on the day of Natuzza's Confirmation and is still present today in very small forms. The scientific analyzes carried out at the Institute of forensic medicine of the University of Messina, comparing a blood sample taken in Natuzza and some emographies, have established that it is precisely the blood that produced the writings or drawings.

It is quite clear that nobody is able to "command" his body to exude blood, much less to order him to compose drawings or writings. And we must not forget that Natuzza does not know how to read and write in Italian, while with his blood phrases have been composed in Latin and Greek, in French and English. In some cases, then, these emographies were formed inside tissues folded in several layers, therefore not in direct contact with his skin.

When she was younger and in full swing, for many onlookers it was almost a game to knock on her door and ask her for an ethnography souvenir. Natuzza satisfied everyone; once in the house of the lawyer Colloca he did it even while he was frying the fish, unaware of the mysterious and extraordinary gift he had.

Even if she was a theology scholar, Natuzza has repeatedly distinguished graces from miracles, meaning the former being a help that Jesus or Our Lady can give, for example for the successful outcome of a surgical operation, while the latter are produced when the healing is immediate and complete, with the disappearance of evil. "

With everything he has done in these seventy years, receiving and consoling a few million people, Natuzza could have become a billionaire. But at most he accepted a fresh flower to put under the statuette of the Madonna or promoted small collections to help those who were sick and did not even have the money to buy an aspirin. His is an apostolate of charity, she has always thought of others more than of herself.
