Joy of the Bishop of Fabriano for Blessed Maria Costanza Panas

“Great joy for the Church of Fabriano-Matelica (Ancona) which learns the news of the beatification of Sister Costanza Panas. For our diocese and the whole Church this news is a great gift that spurs us to live this providential sign with gratitude to the Lord and to the Holy Father who authorized the Congregation for the Causes of Saints to promulgate the decree concerning the miracle attributed to the intercession of the Venerable Servant of God Maria Costanza Panas, professed nun of the Capuchin Poor Clares of the Fabriano Monastery ".

This is the message of the bishop of Fabriano Matelica Francis Massara, regarding the announcement of the beatification of Maria Costanza Panas (aka Agnese Pacifica).

The nun was born on 5 January 1896 in Alano di Piave (Belluno) and died on 28 May 1963 in Fabriano. The celebration of her beatification will take place in Fabriano with a date to be decided. "This wonderful news coincides with the individual and collective efforts of our community to recover from a historically difficult period such as that of the postwar period for Mother Costanza, always at the service of the weakest", concludes Massara.
