Chaplet to the seven sorrows of Mary very effective for obtaining graces

FIRST PAIN
I am sorry, O Holy Mother of Sorrows, that great condolence that pierced your heart in hearing from the holy Simeon that your most beloved Son, the only Love of your soul, was to be stuck on the Cross; and that Your most innocent breast must have been pierced by the most acute sword of pain. I pray you for this long spasm, which accompanied you for so many years, to implore me grace, that from today onwards I know how to sympathize, in your imitation, the passion and death of your Son and my Lord and may make a good and holy death . A Pater and seven Ave, reciting at each Ave: Holy Mother deh! You make the Lord's Wounds and Your Great Pains imprinted in our hearts.

SECOND PAIN
I am sorry, O Holy Mother, Our Lady of Sorrows, that great pain that you suffered in the persecution of Herod for the death of the Innocents and flight to Egypt, where you suffer fear, poverty and inconvenience in a foreign and barbarous land. I beg you, with such high patience, to implore me grace to suffer patiently, in your imitation, the travails of this miserable life, a light to know God in the darkness of Egypt in this world and to make a good and holy death. A Pater and seven Ave, reciting at each Ave: Holy Mother deh! You make the Lord's Wounds and Your Great Pains imprinted in our hearts.

THIRD PAIN

I am sorry, O Holy Mother, Our Lady of Sorrows, that great pain that pierced you in the loss of your beautiful and beloved Son Jesus in Jerusalem, scattering rivers of tears from your pure eyes for three days. I beg you for those tears and sighs of those three days that are very bitter for you, to impetrate so much light on me that I never lose my God, but that I find him once and for all, and above all at the point of my death. A Pater and seven Ave, reciting at each Ave: Holy Mother deh! You make the Lord's Wounds and Your Great Pains imprinted in our hearts.

FOURTH PAIN
I am sorry, O Holy Mother, Our Lady of Sorrows, that great pain that you suffered in seeing your blessed Son sent to Calvary with the heavy Cross over his shoulders and falling exhausted under that. They met then, O my sorrowful Queen, eyes with eyes and heart with heart. I beg you for that tormenting compassion that you had, to beg me grace to carry my cross with patience in the company of yours and my Jesu as long as I live, and to make a good and holy death. A Pater and seven Ave, reciting at each Ave: Holy Mother deh! You make the Lord's Wounds and Your Great Pains imprinted in our hearts.

FIFTH PAIN
I am sorry, O Holy Mother of Sorrows, that excessive pain you suffered in seeing your beloved only-begotten son die on the cross with so many pains and dishonor; and without any of those consuls and chillers who allow themselves even to the most guilty. I pray for the painful tenderness of your crucified Son, that my passions may be crucified on his cross and to make a good and holy death. A Pater and seven Ave, reciting at each Ave: Holy Mother deh! You make the Lord's Wounds and Your Great Pains imprinted in our hearts.

SIXTH PAIN
I am sorry, O Holy Mother of Sorrows, that spasm that you suffered in seeing the Heart of Christ dead wounded by a spear. That wound yes, oh my sorrowful Mother, was all yours, and in receiving her most holy corpse all passed out in your mother's womb, your heart was cruelly pierced. I beg you for those inexplicable anxieties of your soul to impetrate the true love of my Jesus, that hurts my heart, so that sin and profane love of the world can no longer be found by making me make a good and holy death. So be it. A Pater and seven Ave, reciting at each Ave: Holy Mother deh! You make the Lord's Wounds and Your Great Pains imprinted in our hearts.

SEVENTH PAIN
I am sorry, O Holy Mother of Sorrows, that incosolable bitterness that you felt in placing your dead Son Jesus in the burial, until you were able to accommodate him with your hands. Then you remained, my weeping lady, buried with all your soul, where the body of your Son lay buried. I pray you, for so many martyrs of your heart, to implore me, through the merits of your seven pains, in life the forgiveness of your presence, and after death the glory of Paradise. So be it. A Pater and seven Ave, reciting at each Ave: Holy Mother deh! You make the Lord's Wounds and Your Great Pains imprinted in our hearts.
