What our Guardian Angel teaches us
The angel teaches man to progress more and more towards the light of God, with patience and to become for other men one of the signs that are on the road to God. It is not possible with impatient fervor and enthusiasm, but often only with a tenacious struggle, after various failures. Thanks to the holy angel, man is able to: keep silent about the things entrusted to him and about the holy secrets of union with angels, say the right words in a meeting or a clarification, forget his own person and above all entrust himself to God for the future.
We can only spread the seed and then wait for the Lord to germinate it and for the angels to harvest. But it is good if in sad and trial moments we collect treasures, which in the hour of Judgment will turn into "good saints" to receive the mercy of God.
The angel is strength from the strength of God - man, on the other hand, needs decisive energy to fulfill his duty.
The holy angel represents a force of being that is real life - the force that pushes and carries his duty - and a force of love addressed only to God. He is not omniscient, he does not know the future of plans and thoughts of God; God reserves them. He cannot even see in the soul, in the heart of men or see what God says or does with the soul, God reserves this too. But watch with a watchful eye over the property of the Lord and with his benevolent hand he gives the strength to safeguard the treasure of his pure and holy soul, to repel every attack and to remedy failures.
We can perceive the voice of the holy angel when our soul, after a bad word or an evil behavior, oscillates between pride, discouragement or repentance. Then show us the majesty of God and our responsibility. Our weak apologies and insignificant justifications must be silent before him; we must honestly admit our mistakes and have them erased by the blood of the infallible lamb. The vision of the angel is an illumination, a reflection of light and it is like being crossed by light. Through it we reach deep knowledge and a brave new beginning.
Whoever is light in Christ must also be an effective illumination for men. From such a person and his behavior emanates a glimpse of the magnitude of the Lord, which induces all men to re-found their life in God and in his will. A woman of unorthodox faith once said to her boss: “With his way of life he showed me how I should live. Thank you". But the chief did nothing but mirror the Lord, because he wanted to lead souls to him.
A suffering soul (did not love Jesus enough) wrote: “I was happy when I received the letter from a lady who lived in the hospice and with whom I had made friends. She could teach me many things for my religious life. He wrote: `The Lord increase his grace and his love. She brings it to the soul, I know it perfectly. Because when you entered the door for the first time, the presence of God that came from your heart crossed me. ' Jesus is very good! He does not let himself be intimidated by our unworthiness and still lives in our hearts. And that's why we must always sing the great song of gratitude and love. "
