“Demons are always afraid”, the story of an exorcist

Below is the Italian translation of a post by exorcist Stephen Rossetti, published on his website, very interesting.

I was walking down the corridor of a deeply haunted building with one of our most gifted spiritual psychics. We were planning to exorcise the building soon after. He said to me: “I feel them. They are screaming in fear ”. I asked: "Why?". And he replied: "They know what you do."

In discussions about this ministry, people often ask me: "As an exorcist facing demons, are you not afraid?". I answer: “No. It is the demons who are terrified ”.

Likewise, I often ask possessed people how they feel as they approach our chapel for an exorcism. Not infrequently, the closer they get, the more frightened they get. I explain to them that these emotions are those of possessing demons. The demons are terrified of what is about to happen.

Underneath all the swagger and arrogance of Satan and his servants is a hidden terror for Christ and all that is holy. It causes them incalculable pain. And they know that their "time is short" (Rev 12,12:8,29). They are rightly terrified of the second coming of Christ. As the demon Legion said to Jesus: "Did you come to torment us before the appointed time?" (Mt XNUMX:XNUMX).

Perhaps one of the mistakes of our day is unknowingly glorifying Satan and his demons. Demons are just angry, narcissistic, evil, little creatures prone to chaos, anger and destruction. There is not a drop of courage in them. Underneath it all, they are cowards.

On the other hand, I am often edified by the courage of the possessed who come to us, many of whom are young in their 20s and 30s. They are mocked, threatened and tortured by demons. In the midst of their exorcisms, they rebel against the demons and tell them to leave. The demons take their revenge and make them suffer. But these people don't give up.

It is a battle. Cowardly demons cannot compete with such brave human souls, filled with the strength and confidence of the Spirit. There is no doubt who will win in the end.
