Devotion to the Trinity: prayer to manage a difficult life

Devotion to the Trinity: Feed me, O Lord, today with your daily bread. Like the Bread of Life, your food, like manna, will sustain me through every trial and hunger. Help me set my thoughts on the above things and talk only about what will help and encourage others. Stop me from putting my foot in my mouth and help me keep the affections of my heart today, Lord. Let any work I do be marked by excellence rather than perfectionism, as I am not trying to make a name, but to make a difference.

Help me treat every person I meet as you would, with respect and love, forgiving others and asking for forgiveness myself when needed. As I begin this day, help me remember that I belong to you and my desire is to act accordingly. Keep my feet from tripping and my mind from wandering in distractions that could steal precious time and energy from the more important things you have designed for me. I am proud to be your son, Lord.

And I am so thankful that you died for me, resurrecting your new morning, so that each day can be filled with the wonder of your love, the freedom of yours. Spirit , gioia to meet you. I know earthly life is short and fleeting, Lord. But I want to live today as if it were the first or last day of my life, giving thanks for every good and perfect gift you choose to give.

Today, and every day, I want to live my life for you, Jesus. Lord, thank you for the people you have divinely placed in my life who speak of holy truth, love and words of wisdom. Give me a heart of discernment to know when you are using someone to give instructions to my heart and circumstances, and give me the strength and courage to follow that advice, even when it is difficult. Fill me with peace knowing that even if I take a wrong turn, your purpose will prevail. I hope you enjoyed this devotion to the trinity.
