Devotion to God: to save the soul from the dust!

Our brothers are covered with dust, brothers and chariots of dust are given for the service of our soul. Don't let our soul sink into the dust! Not to get trapped in the dust! May the living spark not be extinguished in the grave by the dust! There is a very vast field of earthly dust, which attracts us to itself, but even more vast is the immeasurable spiritual realm, which calls our soul its relative.

To the dust of the flesh we are indeed like the earth, but to the soul we are like the sky. We are settlers in temporary huts, we are soldiers in passing tents. Lord, save me from the dust! This is how the repentant king prays, who first succumbed to the dust, until he saw the dust drag him into the abyss of ruin. Dust is the human body with its fantasies: dust is also all evil people, who fight against the righteous: dust is also demons with their horrors.

May God save us from all that dust. He alone can do it. And we try, first of all, to see the enemy in ourselves, the enemy, who also attracts other enemies. The greatest misery for the sinner is that he is an ally of his enemies against himself, unconsciously and reluctantly. And the righteous one has strengthened his soul well in God and in the kingdom of God, and he is not afraid.

First he is not afraid of himself and then he is not afraid of other enemies. He is not afraid because he is neither an ally nor an enemy of his soul. From there, neither humans nor demons can do anything to him. God is his ally and God's angels are his protectors: what can a man do to him, what can a demon do to him, what can the dust do to him? And the righteous one has strengthened his soul well in God and in the kingdom of God, and he is not afraid.
