Devotion to Jesus "as you obey my Mother"

Jesus: My brother, do you want to show your love to my Mother like me? Be obedient as I was. Child, I let myself be treated by her as she liked: I let myself lie down in the crib, carry in her arms, breastfeed, wrap in swaddling clothes, take to Jerusalem, Egypt, Nazareth. Then, as soon as I had the strength, I hurried to fulfill his desires, indeed, to guess and prevent them. After I amazed the masters of the law in the temple, I went back to Nazareth with her and was submissive. I stayed with her until the age of thirty, always agreeing to her least desires.

2. I felt an unspeakable joy in obeying her; and with obedience I reciprocated precisely what she did for me, and above all what she would have to suffer one day.

3. I obeyed her with perfect simplicity; although I was his God, I remembered that I was also his son; she was still my Mother and representative of Heavenly Father. And she, for her part, with the same perfect simplicity, commanded and directed me, ineffably blessed to see me attentive to her slightest hints. Do you want to renew this joy in turn? Obey them like I did.

4. My Mother has orders to give you: she commands you first of all through duty. Some make the devotion to Mary consist of images and statues, of candles and flowers; others in formulas of prayer and in songs; others in feelings of tenderness and enthusiasm; still others in additional practices and sacrifices. There are those who believe they love her very much because they talk willingly about her or because they see themselves, with their imagination, intent on doing great things for her, or because they try to always think of her. All these things are good but they are not the essential. «Not everyone who says to me: Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven». Thus, not those who say "Mother Mother" are the true children of Mary, but those who always do his will. Now Mary has no other will than mine, and my will in your regard is that you do your duty well.

5. Strive therefore, first of all, to do your duty and to do it for her sake: your great or small duty, easy or painful, pleasant or monotonous, flashy or hidden. If you want to please your Mother, be more punctual in your obedience, more conscientious in your work, more patient in your sorrows.

6. And do everything with the greatest possible love and with a smiling face. Smile in painful daily work, in the most prosaic occupations, in the monotonous succession of your chores: smile to your Mother, who asks you to show her your love in the joyful fulfillment of your duty.

7. In addition to calling you back to your state duties, Mary gives you other signs of her will: the inspirations of grace. Every grace comes to you through his. When grace invites you to give up that pleasure, to discipline certain of your tendencies, to repair certain faults or negligences, to practice certain acts of virtue, it is Mary who gently and lovingly manifests her desires to you. Maybe sometimes you feel a certain dismay at how much inspiration inspires you. Don't worry: they are voices of your Mother, of your Mother who wants to make you happy. Recognize the voices of Mary, believe in his love, and answer with a "yes" to everything she asks of you.

8. There is however a third way of practicing obedience to Mary, and that is to perform the special task that she is about to entrust to you. Be ready.

Invitation to the interview: O Jesus, I begin to understand that my whole spiritual program must consist in doing what the Holy Spirit says about you: "And he was subject to them".
