Devotion to Jesus: the Lord tells you how to abandon yourself to him

Jesus to souls:

- Why do you get confused by getting excited? Leave the care of your things to me and everything will calm down. In truth I tell you that every act of true, blind, complete abandonment in me produces the effect you desire and solves thorny situations.

To surrender to me does not mean to get upset, upset and despair, then turning to me an agitated prayer so that I will follow you, and thus change the agitation in prayer. To abandon oneself means to placidly close the eyes of the soul, to turn the thought away from the tribulation, and to surrender to me so that only I will make you find, like children asleep in the mother's arms, on the other shore. What upsets you and hurts you immensely is your reasoning, your thinking, your hassle and your willingness at all costs to provide for what afflicts you.

How many things do I do when the soul, both in its spiritual and material needs, turns to me, looks at me, and saying: "think about it", close your eyes and rest! You have few graces when you nag to produce them, you have many when prayer is full entrustment to me. You in pain pray for me to work, but for me to work as you believe ... Do not turn to me, but you want me to adapt to your ideas; you are not sick who ask the doctor for treatment, but who suggest it to him. Do not do this, but pray as I taught you in the Pater: "Hallowed be your name", that is, be glorified in my necessity; "Thy kingdom come", that is, all contribute to your kingdom in us and in the world; "Thy will be done", that is, THINK ABOUT IT.

If you really tell me: "your will be done", which is the same as saying "think about it", I intervene with all my omnipotence, and I solve the most closed situations. Here, you see that the disease is pressing instead of decaying? Don't get upset, close your eyes and tell me with confidence: "Your will be done, think about it." I tell you that I think about it, that I intervene as a doctor, and I also perform a miracle when necessary. Do you see that the sick person is getting worse? Don't get upset, but close your eyes and say, "Think about it." I tell you I think about it.

Concern, agitation and wanting to think about the consequences of a fact are against abandonment. It is like the confusion that the children bring, who expect the mother to think about their needs, and they want to think about it, hindering her work with their ideas and their childish feelings.

I only think about it when you close your eyes. You are sleepless, you want to evaluate everything, to scrutinize everything, trusting only in men. You are insomniac, you want to evaluate everything, to scrutinize everything, to think everything, and thus abandon yourself to human forces, or worse to men, trusting in their intervention. This is what hinders my words and my views. Oh, how I desire this abandonment from you in order to benefit you, and how hard I am to see you agitated! Satan tends precisely to this: to agitate you to withdraw you from my action and throw you in the grip of human initiatives. Therefore trust in me alone, rest in me, surrender to me in everything. I work miracles in proportion to the full abandonment in me, and to no thought of you; I spread treasures of grace when you are in full poverty! If you have your resources, even if only a little, or, if you are looking for them, you are in the natural field, and therefore follow the natural path of things, which is often hampered by Satan. No reasoner or ponderer has worked miracles, not even among the Saints.

Whoever abandons himself to God works divinely.

When you see that things get complicated, say with your eyes closed: "Jesus, think about it".

And distract yourself, because your mind is sharp ... and it is difficult for you to see evil. Trust me often, distracting yourself from yourself. Do this for all your needs. Do this all of you, and you will see great, continuous and silent miracles. I swear to you for my love. I'll think about it. Always pray with this disposition of abandonment, and you will have great peace and great fruit, even when I give you the grace of the immolation of reparation and of love that imposes suffering. Does it seem impossible to you? Close your eyes and say with all your soul: "Jesus, think about it." Don't worry, I'll take care of it. And you will bless my name by humbling yourself. A thousand prayers are not worth a single act of confident abandonment: remember it well. There is no novena more effective than this:

O Jesus I abandon myself to you, think about it!
