Devotion to Jesus: the crown of the agonizing Lord in Gethsemane

"Christ loved you and gave himself for us, offering himself to God in sacrifice of sweet smell" (Eph 5,2)

I - O Jesus who, in the excess of your love and to overcome the hardness of our hearts, give many thanks to those who meditate and propagate the devotion of your Most Holy Passion of Gethsemane, I ask you to want to dispose my heart and my soul to often think of your most bitter agony in the Garden of Olives, to live always united with you during life and at the hour of my death to come to possess you in your blessed Kingdom.
- Glory to the Father ...

II - O blessed Jesus that you endured the weight of all our faults that night and paid for them the debt to divine justice, give me the great gift of a perfect contrition of my innumerable faults that made you sweat blood.
- Glory to the Father ...

III - O Jesus Savior, for your very strong struggle in Gethsemane in drinking the cup of our iniquities, grant me the grace to bring complete victory over temptations, especially in the one to which I am most subject.
- Glory to the Father ...

IV - O Jesus the Redeemer, for the sweat of blood and the tears you shed for the mortal anxieties you felt in the most chilling solitude that man can ever conceive and for the most ardent and very human prayer to the Father who gushed from your sweet Heart on the night when the bitterest betrayal was perpetuated, so that when you come as a Judge, my poor soul is found vigilant and praying so that you can hear your sweet words: "Come, good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord".
- Our father, Ave, Gloria

Let's pray:
Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, make the knowledge and love for the Passion of Jesus agonizing in Gethsemane spread throughout the world, so that the whole of humanity, aiming for the mystery of the Cross, can be healed from its wounds mortals, and praying with confidence to Mary Most Sorrowful, may she find the way back to the Father and thus come to glorify you eternally in Heaven. Amen.
