Devotion to Padre Pio: the act of consecration

O Mary, most powerful Virgin and Mother of mercy, Queen of Heaven and Refuge of sinners, we consecrate ourselves to your Immaculate Heart. We consecrate our very being and our whole life to you; all we have, all we love, all we are. To you we give our bodies, our hearts and our souls; to you we give our homes, our families, our country. We wish that all that is in us and around us can belong to you and share the benefits of your motherly blessing.

And so that this act of consecration is truly effective and lasting, we renew today at your feet the promises of our Baptism and our First Communion. We commit ourselves to profess the truths of our holy faith with courage and at all times, and to live as Catholics duly subjected to all the indications of the Pope and the Bishops in communion with him.

We are committed to keeping the commandments of God and His church, especially to keep the Sabbath day holy. Likewise, we commit ourselves to making consoling practices of the Christian religion, and especially of Holy Communion, an integral part of our life, to the extent that we are able to do so.

Finally, we promise you, O glorious Mother of God and loving Mother of all, to devote ourselves wholeheartedly to your service, to hasten and ensure, through the sovereignty of your Immaculate Heart, the coming of the Sacred Heart kingdom of your adorable Son , in our hearts and in everyone's hearts, in our country and throughout the world, as in heaven, so on earth.
