Devotion to the Guardian Angels: how to recognize the fake Angels

Angels are personal, spiritual beings, servants and messengers of God (Cat 329). They are personal and immortal creatures and exceed all visible creatures in perfection (Cat 330). For this reason, it is really sad to see that many people have a totally wrong view of angels and that they will never seek their friendship because they don't believe they are people; rather they come to confuse them with impersonal energies or forces, unable to think or act as individuals as themselves.
Unfortunately, if a person goes to the bookstore he will find several books related to angels, which offer luck and money, or help to achieve good success. This seems like the only thing that interests some people.
Other people view angels as slaves to men, as if everything they ask for should be automatically fulfilled. According to them, the angels can answer any question concerning any type of topic or they can intercede in any event, as if they were robots, and therefore, for them the angels act without intelligence and without freedom. All of this is very far from reality. Angels are good, but not slaves. They obey God and are available to help us.
Some confuse angels with their feelings. They speak of inner and outer angels. They also impose the most disparate names on them. Some say that there are angels related to the zodiac signs, or to the days of the week or months or related to the year, or even angels related to colors or feelings.
They are all totally wrong ideas, far removed from Catholic doctrine.
There is no shortage of those who hold courses and conferences to teach how to communicate with angels, so that only initiates can make themselves understood and helped by them.
Some argue that six candles and six vases should be placed inside which six requests are inserted and wait a certain hour for the angels to come to our aid.
In the book Playing with angels by Hania Czajkowski, the best way to get advice from angels and to establish good communication with them is suggested. The book explains a magical game in which, by combining two distinct sets of cards (which are 104 in total), we get to talk to the angels and get answers to our problems.
In this same book is included an angelic first aid kit, useful for healing all wounds of the soul with considerable doses of angelic affection and tenderness. It would seem that, in this concrete case, anything can be obtained through the cards, which contain oracles with all the answers to our questions and needs.
Others argue that dialogue with angels can be accomplished through transcendental dreams or meditations or, again, some special prayers. They propose to perform some rites to improve the dialogue: how to put on particular clothes, since each color attracts a certain type of angel. Some also speak of angelic crystals, which are filled with angelic energy and serve to communicate with them. Clearly these crystals and other objects of contact cost a lot and are certainly not for the poor.
Talismans and objects full of angelic energy are also sold to defend themselves from their enemies. In some shops, essences of angels and liquids of different colors are sold to communicate with different categories of angels.
Some, who consider themselves experts on the subject, claim that the color pink is suitable for communicating with the guardian angel; the blue to get in touch with the healing angels; the red to communicate with the seraphim ... According to them there are angels specialists in finding a husband or in healing from cancer or from AIDS or from throat or stomach problems. Others are specialists in teaching how to easily earn money and get a job. Each angel is associated with a trade. Angels for architects or engineers or lawyers, doctors, etc.
Normally these wise men, or rather these wise ones, on themes concerning angels accept reincarnation and believe that there are angels for men in this life and for the subsequent lives that will follow. They talk about angels and reincarnation! How much more contradictory for a Christian! New Age followers claim that there are no fallen angels or demons. All are good; claim that demons are not evil. They mix angels with occultism and sometimes claim that angels are extraterrestrial or the reincarnation of superior men who already passed through this world ... As far as opinions are concerned, it seems that they all have the same value. But we, we cannot believe in such barbarisms, which can lead us to the confusion or denial of the existence of these beings so pure and so beautiful, our fellow travelers, that God has given us as friends to help us in our struggles and life difficulties.
For this, select the books you decide to read, be careful not to attend courses or conferences on angels held by sects or non-Catholic groups and, above all, know what the Church says in the Catechism and which reiterate the saints who lived in intimate communion with angels and are therefore an example for us.
