Devotion to the first seven Monday of the month for our dear departed

In honor of the Holy Wounds and the most abandoned souls of Purgatory

Monday is the day dedicated to the suffrage of the souls in Purgatory.

Those who wish can offer the first seven Mondays of the month, interceding for the most abandoned souls of Purgatory.

We recommend, every first Monday of the month, to meditate on the Passion of Christ and to intercede in favor of the deceased, for the merits of the Holy Wounds of Our Lord Jesus Christ, who are the treasure of treasures for the souls of Purgatory.

We recommend, on every first Monday, of

-participate in the Holy Mass and to communicate (after a good confession);

- meditate on the Passion of Christ;

- honor the holy wounds of Jesus;

- offer a time of adoration before the SS. Sacramento, in suffrage of the most abandoned souls of Purgatory.

These souls, who will receive great benefit from our prayers, will certainly not fail to pray for us and to reward us.

6th MONDAY: dedicated to honoring the holy wounds scattered throughout the body and, in particular, that of the shoulder;

7th MONDAY: dedicated to honoring the Cape's holy wounds, caused by the painful crown of thorns.

Here are some passages from the Passion of Christ:

Jn 19: 1-6: [1] Then Pilate took Jesus and scourged him. [2] And the soldiers, weaving a crown of thorns, placed it on his head and put a purple cloak on him; then they came before him and said to him: [3] "Hail, king of the Jews!" And they slapped him. [4] Pilate went out again and said to them, "Behold, I will bring him out to you, for you to know that I find no fault in him." [5] Then Jesus went out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple cloak. And Pilate said to them, "Here is the man!" [6] When the chief priests and the guards saw him, they shouted, "Crucify him, crucify him!" (...)

Jn 19:17: [17] They then took Jesus and he, carrying the cross, went to the place of the skull, called in Hebrew Golgotha, [18] where they crucified him and with him two others, one on one side and one on the other, and Jesus in the middle. (...)

Jn 19, 23-37: [23] The soldiers then, when they crucified Jesus, took his clothes and made four parts, one for each soldier, and the tunic. Now that tunic was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom. [24] So they said to each other: Let's not tear it up, but draw lots for whoever it is. Thus was the Scripture fulfilled: My garments were divided among them and they laid fate upon my tunic. And the soldiers did just that.

[25] His mother, her mother's sister Mary of Cleopa and Mary of Magdala were at the cross of Jesus. [26] When Jesus saw the mother and the disciple whom he loved standing beside her, he said to the mother, "Woman, behold your son!" [27] Then he said to the disciple, "Here is your mother!" And from that moment the disciple took her into his home.

[28] After this, knowing that everything had now been accomplished, Jesus said to fulfill the Scripture: "I am thirsty." [29] There was a jar full of vinegar there; therefore they placed a sponge soaked in vinegar on top of a cane and placed it close to his mouth. [30] And after receiving the vinegar, Jesus said, "Everything is done!" And, bowing his head, he expired.

[31] It was the day of the Preparation and the Jews, so that the bodies would not remain on the cross during the Sabbath (it was in fact a solemn day that Sabbath), asked Pilate that their legs be broken and taken away. [32] So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and then the other who had been crucified with him. [33] But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs, [34] but one of the soldiers hit his side with the spear and immediately blood and water came out.

[35] He who has seen bears witness to it and his testimony is true and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you too may believe. [36] This was because the Scripture was fulfilled: No bones will be broken. [37] And another passage of the Scripture says again: They will turn their gaze to the one they have pierced.
