Devotion to the Sacred Heart: meditation of 8 June

- The sweetest and mildest heart on earth is the Heart of Jesus. But this divine Heart cannot remain indifferent in the face of the ruin of so many souls and it is then that it is moved, and shouts: - Woe! ... woe to the world for scandals! ...

For those who offend one of these children, it would be better if a stone were hung on it

around his neck and thrown deep into the sea. Jesus works for the salvation of souls: the scandalous steals souls from Jesus to give them to the devil. Jesus dies on the cross, to redeem sinners: the scandalous destroys innocence, destroys, and ruins the work of redemption.

Saint Augustine says that as many hells will suffer the scandalous as the souls he has murdered. Many torments, the most atrocious, he will prove how many his sins and those committed by others are the cause of his scandal.

- You have nothing to observe, to correct in yourself? Examine yourself well and change your life; you are on the edge of the abyss. The Magdalene was scandalous, but repaired and became a saint. You do this too.

- Repair the Divine Heart of Jesus ... Have you done so much harm? Do yourself a lot of good and do it publicly; hold back your curiosity, mortify your senses, attend the sacraments.

Pray! ... Pray for you that the Lord will forget your past life and keep his holy grace for you.

Pray also for the poor souls that you have betrayed, that you have scandalized. Say with all your heart: - Miserere mei Deus. Have mercy on me, O Lord!
