Devotion to the Sacred Heart in June: day 28

Our Father, who art in heaven, may your name be sanctified, your kingdom come, your will be done, as in heaven as on earth. Give us our daily bread today, forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Invocation. - Heart of Jesus, Victims of sins, have mercy on us.
Intention. - Repair: neglect of parents in educating their children.
APOSTLES OF THE HEART OF JESUS ??
Being devoted to the Sacred Heart is a great good, but being its apostles is more excellent.
The devotee is content to render Jesus particular acts of love and reparation; but the apostle works so that devotion to the Sacred Heart is known, appreciated and practiced and puts into practice all those means that an ardent divine love suggests.
In order to entice his devotees to become true apostles, Jesus made a marvelous, very beautiful promise: «The name of those who will spread this devotion will be written in my Heart and it will never be canceled! ».
Being written in the Heart of Jesus means being counted among the beloved, among the predestined to the glory of Heaven; it means enjoying in this life the caresses of Jesus and his particular favors.
Who will not want to do everything possible to achieve such a promise?
Do not think that only priests can make the apostolate of devotion to the Sacred Heart preaching from the pulpit; but everyone can do apostolate, because the promise is addressed to everyone.
We now suggest appropriate and practical ways to make many others honor the Sacred Heart.
Any environment, any weather is suitable for this apostolate, provided that the circumstances that Providence presents are carefully used.
The author of this book was once built up by the zeal of a poor street vendor. He went around selling oil. When he had a small group of women in front of him, he made a parenthesis at the sale and spoke of the Sacred Heart, urging the family to be consecrated. His simple and selfless saying touched the hearts of many common people and he managed to implement many consecrations in the most irreligious districts of the city. Perhaps this man's apostolate gained more fruit than the preaching of a great speaker.
An apostolate is made every time we speak of the Sacred Heart. Share the graces that have been obtained to entice others to resort to the Heart of Jesus in needs. Report cards and booklets from the Sacred Heart. There are apostle souls who, with sacrifices and savings, buy prints and then give them away. Those who could not do this at least lend themselves to diffusion, supporting and helping the apostolate of others. The Sacred Heart report should be given to those who come to visit the house, to those who attend the laboratory, to the pupils; be enclosed in the letters; be sent far, especially to those people who need it.
Every month find some cold or indifferent soul and prepare beautifully to make the Communion of the First Friday. Some people need a persuasive word to get closer to the Heart of Jesus.
How beautiful it would be and what joy it would give to the Lord, if every devout soul of the Sacred Heart presented another soul to Jesus every First Friday
As mentioned above, it is an apostolate to have the family consecrated to the Heart of Jesus. The apostles should take an interest in making this Consecration solemnly in their own home, in the families of relatives and in those of the neighborhood and the next spouses are convinced to consecrate oneself to the Sacred Heart on the wedding day.
It is also an apostolate to urge reparation, especially by organizing groups of pious souls, so that the Private Hour of the Holy Hour can be done on Watch Time; so that there will be many Communions to repair in the days when Jesus is most offended; it is a sublime apostolate to find "host souls", that is, people who dedicate themselves completely to reparation.
You can also be apostles of the Sacred Heart:
1. - By praying that this devotion will spread throughout the world.
2. - By offering sacrifices, especially those who are sick, by accepting suffering with resignation, with the aim of spreading devotion to the Sacred Heart throughout the world.
Finally, take advantage of the initiatives, which are disseminated in this booklet, so that everyone can say: My name is written in the Heart of Jesus and it will never be canceled!
Grace obtained
A woman was very afflicted. Her husband had gone to America looking for work. In the first half he wrote regularly and with affection for the family; then the correspondence ceased.
For two years the bride had been worried: Will the husband die? ... Will he have given himself to free life? ... - He tried to have some news, but in vain.
Then she turned to the Heart of Jesus and began the First Friday Communions, pleading with God to send her some good news.
The series of nine Communions ended; none new. After little more than a mana set, her husband's letter arrived. Great was the joy of the bride, but the wonder was greater when she realized that the date of the letter corresponded to the day on which she had made the last Communion.
The woman closed the Nine First Fridays and Jesus that day moved the groom to write. True grace of the Sacred Heart, which the interested one told moved to the author of these pages.
The narration of these and similar graces is a true apostolate that takes place, because in this way the needy and afflicted souls orient themselves towards the Heart of Jesus.
