Devotion to the Sacred Heart every day: prayer on December 21th

O Jesus, my God and my Savior, who in your infinite charity made yourself my brother and died for me on the cross; You who gave yourself to me in the Eucharist and showed me your Heart to assure me of your love, turn your merciful eyes to me at this moment and wrap me in the fire of your charity.

I believe in your love for me and I put all my hope in you. I am aware of my infidelities and my faults, and I humbly ask for your forgiveness.

To you I give and consecrate my person and all that belongs to me, because - as something doubly yours - You dispose of me as you see fit for the greater glory of God.

For my part, I promise to gladly accept your every disposition and to regulate my every action according to your will.

Divine heart of Jesus, live and reign supreme in me and in all hearts, in time and in eternity. Amen.

THE PROMISES OF THE HEART
1 I will give them all the graces necessary for their state.

2 I will put peace in their families.

3 I will console them in all their afflictions.

4 I will be their safe haven in life and especially on the point of death.

5 I will spread the most abundant blessings over all their endeavors.

6 Sinners will find in my heart the source and the ocean of mercy.

7 Lukewarm souls will become fervent.

8 Fervent souls will rise rapidly to great perfection.

9 I will bless the houses where the image of my Sacred Heart will be exposed and venerated

10 I will give priests the gift of moving the hardest hearts.

11 The people who propagate this devotion of mine will have their name written in my Heart and it will never be canceled.

12 To all those who will communicate for nine consecutive months on the first Friday of each month I promise the grace of the final penance; they will not die in my misfortune, but they will receive the sacred minds and my Heart will be their safe haven in that extreme moment.

COMMENT ON THE SIXTH PROMISE
"SINERS WILL FIND IN MY HEART THE SOURCE AND THE INFINITE OCEAN OF MERCY".

Jesus' love for sinners is both predilection and passion! In the Heart of Jesus the first places are the prodigal children and indeed the inauguration of Paradise was accomplished by the good thief. He manifests his omnipotence above all by always forgiving; merciful means precisely the one who gives the heart to the miserable. As the head of the physical body has preferences for the diseased limbs, so the head of the mystical body uses special care for the poor sinners who are his most painful limbs. He opens his Heart "like a fortress and a safe asylum to all the poor sinners who want to take refuge".

St. Margaret Mary writes: "This devotion is like the last effort of the love of Jesus who in recent centuries wants to grant men such a loving redemption to attract them to his love". "There, in that heart, sinners will avoid the divine justice that would overwhelm them like a torrent."

Even "the most hardened hearts and the souls guilty of the greatest crimes will be conducted in penance by this means".

And a few years ago the Heart of Jesus sent another message to men in need of his mercy: "I love souls after the first sin, if they humbly ask me for forgiveness ... I still love them after they have cried the second sin and if they fell I will not say a billion times, but of the millions of billions, I love them and always lose them and I wash the last of my blood as the first sin ... ».

And again: «I want my love to be the sun that illuminates and the heat that warms souls ... I want the world to know that I am a God of love and forgiveness, of mercy. I want the whole world to read my ardent desire to forgive and to save, that the most miserable do not fear ... that the most guilty do not run away from me! ... that everyone comes, I await them as a father with open arms ... ». Let us not disappoint this ocean of mercy!
