Devotion of the day: the hope of Heaven

The hope of Heaven. In the midst of tribulations, of continuous miseries, it is like a sweet and sweet ray of sunshine after the rain, the thought that the Heavenly Father awaits us up there in his splendid abode, to wipe us away from tears himself, to lift us all worries, to pay us generously every little pain, suffered for him, and crown our least virtues with a blessed Eternity. You too, if you want, can get there ...

Possession of Paradise. As soon as I enter Heaven, I will be happy ... What a thought! Now I yearn for happiness, I run after it, and I never get it; in Heaven I will have it perfect, and for all eternity ... What joy! In the company of so many Saints, similar to an Angel, in the presence of Mary, of triumphant Jesus, I will see God in his sovereign grandeur and beauty; I will love him, I will possess him with his treasures, I will be part of His own happiness ... What glory! I want to get there at any cost.

Heaven is in our hands. The Lord does not create anyone to damn him: he wants everyone to be saved, says Saint Paul; life and eternal death were placed in my hands; if you want, says St. Augustine, Heaven is yours. It is not bought with money, not with science, not with honors; but with the will, accompanied by good works. As many as wanted it, everyone got it. And you want it sincerely and frankly? Do you think your works are for Heaven? Think, and solve.

PRACTICE. - Recite a Salve Regina to the Virgin, and three Pater to all the Saints, to obtain Heaven.
