Devotion of the day: Mary's loving soul

Ardent love of Mary. The sigh of the saints is to love God, it is to lament their own inability to love God. Mary alone, the Saints say, was able on earth to fulfill the precept of loving God with all her heart, with all her strength. God, always God, only God, wanted, sought, loved the Heart of Mary, It beat only for God; young girl consecrated herself to him, adult she sacrificed herself for love of him. What reproach to your coldness!

Active love of Mary. It was not enough for her to give God the affection of the Heart: with virtues and works, she experienced the sincerity of his Love. Was not Mary's life a fabric of the most elect virtues? Admire the humility in front of His immense greatness, the faith in the words of the Angel, the confidence in the time of trials, the patience, the silence, the forgiveness in the insults, the resignation, the purity, the fervor! I had the hundredth part of so much virtue!

The loving soul, with Mary. What confusion it is for us to live so languid in the Love of God! Our heart feels the need for God, it knows the vanity of the earth… Why don't we turn to the One who alone can fill the emptiness of the heart? But, what's the point of saying; My God. Do I love you, and do not practice humility, patience and other virtues, which are proofs of our sincere love of God? Today, with Mary, let us warm ourselves with true and persevering Love.

PRACTICE. - Recite three Pater and Ave to the three Hearts of Jesus, Joseph and Mary; spends the day in fervor.
