Today's devotion: intercessory prayers for young people in difficulty

Our Father, you are the Father of all. Your Son has told us: Your Heart suffers all the sufferings of your children, but even more, when they are young and touched in their liveliest forces. Please for teenagers and young people in difficulty.

-for young people who are hungry, while their growing strength requires substantial and abundant food.

- for sick young people, touched too early by physical suffering, while their whole being is stretched towards life.

- for young people physically handicapped, or mentally, or socially, while they wish to be fully welcomed among others.

- for young illiterate people, while their spirit is hungry for science and culture in view of the future.

-for unemployed young people, who risk losing their sense of effort and trust in existence.

-for young people exploited by consumer society, by political parties, by adults without respect.

-for young people abandoned by their parents, a father or a mother who have betrayed their responsibility.

-for young people of dissociated families, who do not find their most natural foothold.

-for isolated young people, without friends, who are not welcomed among adults or among their peers.

- for young people who are too rich, educated in selfishness, and who risk not understanding the meaning of life and making others suffer.

-for young people who let themselves be taken by vice and risk turning off their most precious resources.

-for young people who let themselves be taken by violence, also because they suffer too much from the injustice that surrounds them.

-for young drug addicts who escape too hard a life and risk compromising their future forever.

-for young prisoners, who are in danger of losing the resources and hopes that remain in prison.

-for young people educated in atheism and exposed to live their whole life out of the light of faith.

-for young people disappointed by the Church, by the bad example of many believers, and who risk losing their faith.

-for all young people who suffer in their body, in their spirit, in their heart, and are tempted to commit suicide.

O Father, who gave spring trees to trees to cover themselves with flowers, promise of fruits, have mercy on many young people without spring! Send them friends and educators who know how to restore their trust in their resources and reveal your Father's face. For Christ our Lord.
