Effective devotion: inner life, how to pray

What is prayer? It is the sweetest balm that the Lord can give you, my soul. In prayer, however, you must think more of God than of yourself.
You must raise your hymn of praise and blessing to your Creator.
May your prayer be perfumed incense poured into the burning brazier of your heart. Rise up to God and then sink into the depth of his love and to know its most intimate secrets.
Then there is more listening prayer in which the Lord speaks.
You, confident, listen and contemplate the beauty, greatness, goodness, mercy of your God.
All of Heaven will pour into you and then, the breakdown, the desolation, the pains that afflict you will disappear.
You will taste so many divine inspirations and you will allow God to delight in his creature which he will never be able to deny because He is Love.
If the Lord will take you back or strike you, do not afflict yourself because the one who corrects you and the one who strikes you is He who loves you; he is a father who corrects and beats a son to make him worthy of the divine and eternal inheritance that prepared him.
After the listening prayer, do not get lost, my soul, if you cannot speak to your Heavenly Father. Jesus himself will take care of suggesting what you will have to say.
Rejoice, therefore, because consequently your supplication will be the supplication of Jesus who uses your voice. The intentions will be the same as for Jesus. How can they be rejected by the Eternal Father?
Therefore abandon yourselves in the arms of God, and let Him look at you, contemplate you, kiss you, because you are the work of his hands; let it either take you back, or strike you, because then, of course, it will cradle you in his arms singing the song of his love to you.
Finally, I recommend you: when you pray, stay in the shadows and in hiding so that, like a breast, you can give off the most beautiful perfume.
Always be confident and never doubt the love that God brings you because, before you began to love him, He loved you; before I asked him for forgiveness He had already forgiven you; before I expressed the desire to be near him, He had already prepared a place for you in Heaven.
Pray often and think that with prayer you will give glory to God, peace to your heart and ... you will make hell tremble.
