Devotion in the day: judging, speaking, works

Two weights in judging. The Holy Spirit curses those who are unjust in their scales and cheater in their weight; how many things can this sentence apply to! Consider how you love to be judged favorably, how angry you are at those who misinterpret your things, how you expect them to think well of you: this is the burden for you; but why are you all suspicious to others, easy to judge badly, condemn everything, not to pity?

Two weights in speaking. Use the charity you want used to yourself by talking to others, says the Gospel. You certainly expect it for yourself! Woe to you if others murmur about you; woe betide her in words; woe if others do not have a charitable deal with you! You immediately start screaming at the lie, at injustice. But why do you murmur about your neighbor? Why do you grasp every flaw? Why do you lie to him and treat him with so much harshness, harshness and pride?… Here is the double weight condemned by Jesus.

Two weights in the works. It is always unlawful to use fraud, to cause damage, to enrich at the expense of others, and you cry out that now good faith is no longer found, you wish others gracious, complacent, charitable with you; you hate theft in the next ... But what delicacy do you use in interests? What pretexts are you looking for to steal other people's stuff? Why do you refuse a favor to those who ask you? Remember that the double burden is condemned by God.

PRACTICE. - Examine, without self-love, if you do not have two measures; does an act of charity.
