Practical devotion: having the desire for Heaven

The kingdom of souls. God reigns over the universe; willingly or not, everything obeys him, heaven, earth, abysses. But happy is the soul in which God reigns with his grace and with his love; unhappy on the contrary, the slave of the devil! God's yoke is sweet; the peace, the joy of the just are inestimable. The devil is a tyrant; the wicked never peace. And who do you serve? Who is the master of your heart? Jesus has redeemed you at the price of his blood… O Jesus! your Kingdom come into my heart.

The reign of the Church. Jesus founded it for the good of all men, gathering in it the treasures of his graces to sanctify all souls. We, privileged over so many peoples for being born in the womb of the Church, we who find it so easy to profit from the Sacraments and Indulgences, what fruit do we make of them? Don't be among those degenerate Christians who despise their mother. Pray that the kingdom of God will triumph in you, over sinners, over infidels.

The kingdom of Heaven. Paradise, paradise!… Among the afflictions, troubles, miseries, temptations, in the nothingness of this earth, I sigh, yearn for you. Your kingdom come; in you, my God, I will rest, in you I will live, I will love, I will enjoy forever; the happy day comes soon! ... Put all your energy to deserve it. Only a good life and a holy death will lead you to Heaven. Only one mortal sin can deprive you!
