I am not saying that confessing directly to God is not a good thing but it is not enough. If the Lord wants to pass the grace of his forgiveness through one of his ministers, the reasons are there and there are many. First reason is that it is too simple to do it only with God, the humiliation of confessing one's faults to a person in flesh and blood is important that there is and it would also be important to always choose the same confessor so as not to be too smart with God and with ourselves. Second reason why it is important to confess and even at least once a month is that you receive so much grace and lightness of heart as well as peace and joy.You receive so much Holy Spirit, Third reason frequent confession keeps your relationship with the Lord alive, our nature tends to fold and settle for a lukewarm spiritual life instead a fairly frequent confession raises us from our lukewarmness and gives a new impetus to our following. Confession helps to be attentive, vigilant, in a word fervent, Christians who lead and do not ballast the holy Church of God. There are those who say not to go to confession because they always repeat the same mistakes and therefore they consider themselves consistent . NO these are only fearful and lazy, one who does not resign himself to his own sin, who struggles against his own sin should also fall a thousand times more coherently. The Lord seeing all his attempts, and being pleased with the fact that he never gave up one day will decide to give him the extraordinary grace of not letting him fall again. We care as much about appearing clean and tidy on the outside as the cleanliness and order in our heart is more important. Moreover, from that minister of God who confesses to us, holy or not, it can come to you with a Word of Christ capable of helping you a lot, I remember that in a confession I manifested to the priest my anguish regarding so many concerns that I had with respect to my parents.
