Let's show each other the love of God

Recognize the origin of your existence, breath, intelligence, wisdom and, what matters most, the knowledge of God, the hope of the Kingdom of heaven, the honor you share with angels, the contemplation of glory, now certain as in a mirror and in a confused way, but in its time in a fuller and purer way. Also, recognize that you have become a child of God, a co-heir of Christ and, to use a bold image, you are the same God!
Whence and from whom do many and such prerogatives come to you? If we want to talk about more humble and common gifts, who allows you to see the beauty of the sky, the course of the sun, the cycles of light, the myriads of stars and that harmony and order that always renews themselves wonderfully in the cosmos, making joyful creation as the sound of a zither?
Who grants you the rain, the fertility of the fields, the food, the joy of art, the place of your home, the laws, the state and, let's add, everyday life, the friendship and pleasure of your kinship ?
Why are some animals domesticated and subjected to you, others given to you as food?
Who placed you lord and king of all that is on earth?
And, to dwell only on the most important things, I ask again: Who gave you the gift of those characteristics of your own that ensure full sovereignty over any living being? It was God. Well, what does he ask of you in exchange for everything? The love. It requires from you continually above all and above all love for him and for others.
Love for others he demands it like the first. Will we be reluctant to offer God this gift after the many benefits he has bestowed and those promised by him? Will we dare to be so impudent? He, who is God and Lord, calls himself our Father, and we would like to deny our brothers?
Let us be careful, dear friends, from becoming bad administrators of what has been given to us as gifts. We would then deserve Peter's admonition: Be ashamed, you who hold onto the things of others, rather imitate divine goodness and thus no one will be poor.
Let us not tire of accumulating and conserving wealth, while others suffer from hunger, so as not to deserve the harsh and sharp reproaches already made by the prophet Amos once again, when he said: You say: When the new moon and the Saturday will have passed, so that we can sell the wheat and sell the wheat, decreasing the measures and using false scales? (cf. Am 8: 5)
We operate according to that supreme and first law of God which makes rain fall on both the righteous and the sinners, makes the sun rise equally for everyone, offers all the animals of the earth the open countryside, fountains, rivers, forests; it gives air to birds and water to aquatic animals; to all he freely gives the goods of life, without restrictions, without conditions, without any delimitation whatsoever; he abundantly grants the means of subsistence and full freedom of movement to all. He made no discrimination, did not appear stingy with anyone. He wisely proportioned his gift to the needs of each being and showed his love to everyone.
