God wants to give birth to his kingdom through you

“What should we compare the Kingdom of God to, or what parable can we use for it? It is like a mustard seed which, when sown in the ground, is the smallest of all seeds on earth. But once sown, it is born and becomes the largest of the plants ... ”Mark 4: 30-32

It is amazing to think about. This little seed has so much potential. That small seed has the potential to become the largest of the plants, a source of food and a home for the birds of the sky.

Perhaps this analogy that Jesus uses does not impress us as it should because we know that all plants begin with a seed. But try to think of this wonder of the physical world. Try to think about how much potential is contained in that little seed.

This reality reveals the fact that Jesus wants to use each of us to build his Kingdom. We may feel as if we cannot do much, that we are not as gifted as the others, that we will not be able to make much difference, but it is not true. The truth is that each of us is full of incredible potential that God wants to realize. He wants to draw glorious blessings for the world from our lives. All we have to do is allow him to work.

Like a seed, we must allow ourselves to be planted in the fertile soil of his mercy through faith and surrender to his divine will. We must be watered with daily prayer and allow the rays of the Son of God to shine on us so that he can bring out everything he wants and plans from the foundations of the world.

Reflect today on the incredible potential that God has placed in your soul. He created you with the intention of giving birth to His Kingdom through you and to do it abundantly. It is your responsibility to simply believe it and allow God to do what he wants to do in your life.

Lord, I love you and I thank you for all that you have done in my life. I thank you in advance for everything you still want from me. I pray that I can surrender to you daily so that you may come and feed me with Your grace, bringing abundance of good fruit from my life. Jesus I believe in you.
