Divine Mercy: the reflection of March 27, 2020

Inner mortification

One of the greatest gifts we can do to our Divine Lord is our will. We often want what we want when we want it. Our will can become obstinate and obstinate and this can easily dominate our whole being. As a result of this sinful tendency towards the will, one thing that greatly delights our Lord and produces an abundance of grace in our life is an inner obedience to what we don't want to do. This inner obedience, even to the smallest things, mortifies our will so that we are free to obey the glorious Will of God more completely (See Diary # 365).

What do you want with passion? More specifically, what do you cling to obstinately with your will? There are many things we want that could easily be abandoned as a sacrifice for God. It may not be that the thing we want is evil; rather, let our inner desires and preferences change us and set us up to be more receptive to everything God wants to give us.

Lord, help me to make my only desire that of perfect obedience to You in all things. I would like to hold on to your will for my life in both big and small things. May I find in this submission of my will the great joy that comes from a heart fully submissive and obedient to You. Jesus I believe in you.
