Divine mercy: what St. Faustina said about prayer

4. Before the Lord. - Before the Lord exposed in adoration, two nuns were kneeling next to each other. I knew that only the prayer of one of them was able to move the sky. I rejoiced that there were souls so dear to God down here.
Once, I heard these words within me: «If you did not harness my hands, I would bring down many punishments on the earth. Even when your mouth is silent, you cry out to me with such force that the whole sky is moved. I cannot escape your prayer, because you do not pursue me as a distant being, but you look for me inside of you where I really am ».

5. Pray. - With prayer you can face any kind of struggle. The soul will have to pray in whatever state it is in. He must pray to the pure and beautiful soul because, otherwise, it will lose its beauty. The soul that aspires to holiness must pray, because otherwise it will not be given to it. The newly converted soul must pray if it does not inevitably want to relapse. The soul immersed in sins must pray to get out of it. There is no soul exempted from praying, because it is through prayer that graces descend. When we pray, we must use intelligence, will and feeling.

6. He prayed with greater intensity. - One evening, entering the chapel, I heard these words in my soul: «Having entered into agony, Jesus prayed with greater intensity». I knew then how much perseverance it takes in praying and how, sometimes, our salvation depends precisely on such a tiring prayer. To persevere in prayer, the soul must arm itself with patience and courageously overcome internal and external difficulties. Inner difficulties are tiredness, discouragement, dryness, temptations; the external ones, on the other hand, come from reasons of human relationships.

7. The only relief. - There are moments in life when I would say that the soul is no longer able to deal with the language of men. Everything wears you out, nothing gives you peace; she just needs to pray. Her relief lies solely in this. If she turns to the creatures, she will derive only a greater anxiety.

8. Intercession. - I have known how many souls need to be prayed for for them. I feel that I am transformed into prayer to obtain divine mercy for every soul. My Jesus, I welcome you into my heart as a pledge of mercy for other souls. Jesus let me know how much he appreciates such a prayer. My joy is great in seeing that God loves in a unique way those we love. Now I realize what power intercessory prayer has before God.

9. My prayer in the night. - I couldn't pray. I could not remain kneeling. However, I remained in the chapel for a whole hour, uniting in spirit with those souls who adore God in a perfect way. Suddenly I saw Jesus. He looked at Me with unspeakable sweetness, and said: «Your prayer, even so, is immensely pleasing to me».
At night I can no longer sleep, because the pains do not allow me. I spiritually visit all the churches and chapels and adore the Blessed Sacrament there. When I return to our convent chapel, I pray for certain priests, who preach God's mercy and spread his worship. I also pray for the Holy Father to hasten the institution of the feast of the Merciful Savior. Finally, I implore God's mercy on sinners. This is now my prayer in the night.
