Divine Mercy: reflection of April 5, 2020

Sometimes we can all have dreams of grandeur. What if you were rich and famous? What if I had great power in this world? What if I was the pope or the president? But what we can be sure of is that God has great things in mind for us. It calls us to a greatness we could never imagine. A problem that often arises is that when we begin to perceive what God wants from us, we run away and hide. The Divine Will of God often calls us out of our comfort zone and requires great trust in Him and abandonment to His Holy Will (See Diary n. 429).

Are you open to what God wants from you? Are you willing to do whatever he asks? We often wait for Him to ask him, then we think about His request and then we get filled with fear for that request. But the key to doing God's Will is to say "Yes" to him even before he asks us for something. Surrender to God, in a perpetual state of obedience, will free us from the fear of which we may be tempted when we analyze the details of His glorious Will excessively.

Dear Lord, I say "Yes" to you today. Whatever you ask me, I will do it. Wherever you take me, I will go. Give me the grace of complete abandonment to you, whatever you ask. I offer myself to you so that the glorious purpose of my life can be realized. Jesus I believe in you.
